Children & Youth

KOSTA – Children’s Church

KOSTA (Kids of St Andrew’s) meets on Sundays during the 10am service at St Andrew’s (except first Sundays which are the All Age Worship service). Children are welcome to stay in the main service but we invite all under 13s to join the Children’s Church. We begin the service in church together with a hymn. The children and leaders then gather at the front of church to pray and we move into the Pavilions at the back of church to play games, read the story and engage in craft activities before coming back into the service at Communion.

There are two groups for children: Climbers aged 4-7 and Explorers aged 7-11.  There is always an opportunity for older children to come and help with the craft, and the Explorers group occasionally take part in Godly Play, a modern and interactive method of displaying the story of the week.

On the 1st Sunday of each month we all stay in the main part of the Church for the All Age Worship service.

Sunday service creche.  There is a staffed creche in the pavilions in the back of the church every Sunday during the main 10am Service. Our creche leader is Lucy Jacob.

You may take your child there at any point in the service but please collect them before you receive Communion. Baby changing facilities are in the toilet off St George’s Chapel, up on the left side of the church just past the organ pipes.
