The Parish of Farnham has two Churches - St Andrew's and St Francis'. These are protestant churches belonging to The Church of England

The Church Leadership Team

The church leader is the Rector, David. He is assisted by other clergy and Lay Ministers

Everyone is welcome to attend a service. You can just turn up a few minutes before the start time. When you arrive a member of the welcome team will greet you and if you mention that it is your first time here they will help you find a seat.  They will give you a hymn book and a service sheet.

The churches provide different  types of services  at different times of the day and we hope that most people can find something to suit them.

The Churches

  • St Francis is a small church with a congregation of 12-15 in a small church off Three Stiles Road; Map
  • St Andrew's is a large church in the town centre with a congregation of around 120. map

The Services

The main service for the parish is at 10am every Sunday at St Andrew's Church.  The service sheet will guide you through the service.  There will be hymns and a bible reading and a short sermon based on the bible reading of the day.  After the service there is coffee and a chance to meet with other congregation members, and if you would like personal prayer then you can go to the area at the front of the church and there will be church members who will pray with you.

Children are very welcome: There is a creche and children's church on all but the first Sunday when it is an All Age service.

We hold services at St Francis church on two Sundays a month and  two other services at St Andrew's on Sunday and one during the week  and so if the time or service at St Andrew's doesn't suit please click the link for a short description of the services .Other Services or see our page with a map and locations.here

Church Groups - there are many small groups which you can join - both study and discussion groups and friendship groups.  Everyone is welcome to join these by just turning up, and sometimes this is a good way of getting to know people from the church. Click on the title to see the groups.  Also if you like singing we have a choir which meets regularly and is a good way to meet people if you are new.

If you can't get to church but would like to receive communion our Pastoral Team can arrange this for you. If you would like a lift to church please let us know.

If you come along and want to get to know more about us, you can fill in a Welcome Card and someone will give you a call to arrange a visit.

Sometimes the terms used in the Church of England may be unfamiliar to newcomers and can be a bit offputting.  The link here may help to explain some of the meanings but members of the church or clergy will be happy to explain anything you don't understand.

If you need more information please call the Parish Office on 01252 715412 or email me direct on david.uffindell@gmail.com
I look forward to having the opportunity to meet you very soon.

With all good wishes.
