St Andrew’s Church

St Andrew’s is a beautiful central location for a concert or public event to the benefit of the town and community and on occasions we are happy to hire the church out for such an event.  The acoustics are very good, we have a small kitchen and an area called the pavilions where refreshments can be served.  The church has two toilets. There is a ramp for disabled access and loan of a wheelchair is possible. There are many car parks within walking distance of the church.

If you are interested in hiring the church please contact the Parish Office.

Our Hiring Terms

Please note:

  • we do not take bookings for private parties in the church.
  • The nearest parking is in the Waggon Yard car park and although there is a small drop off area outside the church, which can be used for delivery of instruments etc there is no other parking available.
  • We will often allow rehearsal time during the church opening times, but this will not be exclusive as the church is a public building.
  • You will need to provide your own public liability insurance, TEN and performing rights licences.

St Francis Hall

This is a small hall just outside the centre of Farnham.  This is available for private parties.  The hall is the size of a small classroom and has a small kitchen and a toilet.  It has just been refurbished.

For information or booking please contact the Parish Office or phone 01252715412.

Students Filming

We get many requests from UCA students asking to film inside the church and wherever possible we like to help.

In order to grant permission we would need some notice as the church is very busy.

We will charge for filming to cover admin time and wear and tear but are aware of student budgets.

We will need to see copies of your public liability insurance.

We would also ask for your assurance that the content of your film is not likely to cause offence to the Christians who worship at St Andrew’s, or the Christian Faith in general and will request a synopsis of the plot and particularly scenes filmed at St Andrew’s.

During the time you are filming we will ask you to display this notice prominently  on the door explaining that you would be happy to pause your filming should someone need to have silence in the church.

Please contact the Parish Office for further details.

Professional Filming

From time to time we get enquiries for films or TV and we would need to seek Diocesan advice before granting permission for this.
